Founded in 1995, GEO-EXPLOR offers a complete range of geotechnical engineering consulting and laboratory services to its customers. Our geotechnical services include the drilling and sampling for geotechnical applications, the installation and development of wells, groundwater monitoring, field and laboratory soil testing, the installation of geotechnical instrumentation, and pile driving and load test inspection.

Our laboratory services cover the following areas: geotechnical (soil) testing, cement testing, concrete testing, and concrete masonry testing.

We rely on ample testing facilities, equipment, and a well-trained staff to obtain the required data for the analysis of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects.

Geo-Explor is managed by Carlos A. Mercado, a professional engineer with a master’s degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our firm has practical soil experience in over 1500 projects in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, using the latest procedures developed in this field. We are committed to providing our customers with cost-effective professional service without compromising technical quality. Geo-Explor’s laboratory is managed by Mr. Reynaldo Rodríguez. Mr. Rodríguez has over twenty years of experience within this field, working on multiple complex projects as Laboratory Manager.
